I need to stop reading the news. 

Because earlier today I read how China was saying there would be open confrontation  if the United States continued to help the Phillipine Navy do Naval training drills in the South China Sea, a disputed territory area.

So read that shit if you want. Then afterwards scroll down to the comment section and read some of them.

Here are two I saw that stood out: “China can take their junk products and go straight to Hades !!! They are only able to build their military because we and other countries buy their cheap junk. Let them push us until trade is cut off and see how their economy collapses. As far as the U.S. debt they own … all we have to do, is say “sorry Charlie”, and it disappears … just like other countries have done us … over and over.”

“any American who buys a chinese product is supporting a goverment we will one day face off with. the dollars we spend on their crap will turn into bullets and arms that will kill our soldiers some day soon. their economic growth fueled by Americans and others is all part of their plan to expand their militaristic and economic goals. they will one day soon take Tawian. It’s bad enough our goverment let our corporations give our jobs to them and others. they steal our technologies through legal corporations and hacking. soon we will be a nation second to china in every way except freedoms. and we are doing it to ourselves just to save a buck on something. PLEASE BUY AMERICAN or at least a product made somehere else but china.”

Now lets break down the first one shall we? “They can only build their military because we and other countries buy their cheap junk”. 

First of all the fact that buying products directly goes to their military is kind of ridiculous. Because when you buy a product from Wal-Mart, Target, Etc. Chain stores like that, you are funding that CORPORATION, not the government. Now then the corporations with their factories in China they then pay taxes on the property and the employees that are in that factory that then  get paid and pay taxes. So yes some of the money goes to the Chinese government, but such a small amount it isn’t enough to fund their military. So that’s just ignorant on economics honestly if you need that explained. 

Now the debt the U.S. has to pay to China…is ridiculously high but we also still send them foreign aid separately every year because they are still considered a “developing country” by the U.N.  What the U.S. should do is use that foreign aid money to go towards the debt we owe China, but what good does that do if we just borrow more anyways? 

So before I get too off topic on the debt and ways to pay it back, lets get back to the original idea here.

Lets look at the second comment shall we?

Now yes the corporations have several employees oversees in their factories and the stores they have throughout the world, but ever notice how many Wal-Marts, Targets, Sams Clubs, Costco’s, and other chain stores are here? Now I work at a Wal-Mart, and they employ about 170 people. That is a store in a small tourist town, I imagine a bigger store in a huge city like New York or Los Angeles or any state capital honestly, I expect those stores probably employ about 300 people. Now add that in a big city you have roughly 6 or 7 wal-marts, one being a super wal-mart and the other stores, like target, or petco, staples, office depot, ANY GIANT CHAIN STORE CORPORATION. Nationwide Wal-Mart employed roughly 1.4 Million people, in the United States alone. That is a lot of people working there! Worldwide Wal-mart employees 2.1 million people. So the majority of the wal-mart jobs are IN AMERICA! Now Target has 355,000 employees as of 2010 (I have been unable to find an updated stat for target) 
So lets say that Petco, Lowes, Office Depot, Staples, Kmart, Chilli’s, Applebees and any others I am not going to spend time typing employ roughly the same number as target. 355,000. Now nationwide that is a lot of jobs collectively. So the corporations are not taking jobs away from the United States. The jobs are available! The Wal-Mart I work at believe it or not is Under-Staffed! They are still hiring! And they aren’t part time or temporary jobs either, their full fucking time! And I get paid $10.50 an hour, not the best pay, but also a lot better than minimum wage. 

The jobs are actually available for people honestly, most stores are usually hiring. So what you won’t get the ideal hours you want to work, tough shit you might have to work a weekend here or there. Remember what has been told to us since we were born? Life is tough, not everything will be what you want. Remember that? I sure do, honestly I wouldn’t mind working nights or the graveyard shift. Why? Because its a fucking job! It puts money in my pocket and helps me pay the very few bills I have as I am only 17.  

Now I remember talking to my grandpa who owns his own dental practice with 4 offices in Denver, he is looking to hire some young college graduates from dental school to help him open up another office, and so far he hasn’t been able to because why? Because they will not work Fridays! He told me that they want to work monday-thursday, well it’s his fucking office, he pays the bills for it and he stays open monday through friday! Seriously? 

People bitch about the job crisis, yet when you are offered a job and you won’t take it because you won’t get the EXACT schedule you want, you don’t take it? Here is what I say to you. GROW THE FUCK UP! You won’t get what you want, and if you keep waiting for that job you will continue to be unemployed and I say you fucking deserve to be unemployed if you won’t take a job because it doesn’t have one small thing you want. Yeah so what you work 5 days a week. Some people will work ANYTIME they can and they do. When you are lucky enough to go to dental school, or med school, or law school or anything like that. Then you won’t take a job because of the schedule offered or you will be just filing papers while you learn on the job training before you get put to do what you want to do. YOU DON’T GET INSTANT SUCCESS! My grandpa’s dentist offices are doing well and flourishing because he makes sure the people that work for him learn the way he wants stuff done, not what some stupid textbook told you! 

So if you are one of those people I described above, you are a SELFISH ARROGANT PRICK and you need to grow the fuck up and realize to get WHERE YOU WANT TO GO, you need to LEARN FROM THOSE WHO ARE ALREADY THERE! The jobs are out there, they actually are, people just need to learn that they probably won’t get EXACTLY what you want. 

 

Now back to China real quick, first off the United States and China will never go to war. Why? We are co-dependent of each other, the U.S. Consumers buy the products from stores here that allow the stores to employ people and provide for their homes. China relies on the U.S. too give them the factories to help employ the billions of people living within their borders. 
They won’t go to war because it would wreck both economies. You destroy a factory in China, you take away products from the stores in America. Then the people in the factory obviously are unemployed and the store has to start laying people off because they aren’t making enough money.  And so on and so forth, both countries rely on each other for their economies. We are too intertwined economically to go to war, it would be what destroys both our countries and reduce both of us back to the 1900’s and fall out of the global economy and become a third world country without the economy that those corporations give us. So don’t bitch too much about China taking our jobs, when the jobs are plentiful to be fond in America, so don’t blame China and Corporations for outsourcing. Look at yourself to maybe take a job that isn’t ideal and get the fuck over yourself and stop having a pity party. Get out there and take one of those jobs that are available!
